CDM 2007

Act Surveyors provide CDM Coordinator services to clients in accordance with the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM) 2007.  Our experienced and competent CDM Coordinators ensure that construction health and safety is managed in accordance with the regulations and construction site health and safety risks are reduced. 

The CDM 2007 Regulations apply to all construction and refurbishment projects in England and Wales, except for domestic clients commissioning work on their own homes. There is now an emphasis on the need for appropriate levels of 'competence' under the regulations and all duty holders must be able to demonstrate their competence in accordance with the CDM 2007 guidance.  All of our CDM Coordinators are chartered building surveyors with membership of the Association For Project Safety (APS) and many years experience of construction practices and safety.  If you are not sure of your obligations, or how the regulations apply to you please ask us for advice.

Our quality assured and monitored service include a site inspection and review of proposed plans before works commence together with continuous monitoring of design changes through to completion. We will produce a pre-construction information report that covers all relevant matters that need to be considered by the client, designers and contractors and assist the duty holders as necessary to ensure compliance.  Added value services are also provided such as construction site safety audits during the construction phase for clients who want confirmation that the contractor is compliant.
