Residential Nursing Homes

We have provided approved inspector services for numerous new build residential/institutional homes, extensions and alterations.  These homes have included traditional residential care homes, nursing homes, hospices, etc. 

We are familiar with all aspects of the applicable fire safety guidance related to small and large premises.  For large premises we are conversant with the recommendations of the HTM guidance and have approved numerous buildings with fire strategies based on progressive horizontal evacuation.  We regularly advise on the acceptability of fire strategies for these buildings to ensure that the needs of the residents are being met in terms of fire safety, heating and ventilation, sound insulation and energy efficiency requirements.
