We have provided approved inspector services for many low rise industrial and factory type buildings.  As such we are experienced in all matters pertaining to this type of building including the foundation solutions, super structure/frame types, flooring and cladding options, and end user expectations and client requirements.

Some of these buildings have been subject to fire engineered solutions to satisfy Part B and we are familiar with the potential variations that can be permitted.  For example the use of travel distances in excess of the approved document B limits have been approved with high bay/roof buildings and/or sprinklers.  If fire engineered solutions are proposed these must be approved by us at the earliest stage possible to avoid delays to the construction stage works.

In addition to new buildings we have approved numerous extensions and mezzanine floor additions to industrial and factory type buildings.  Our services have again proved beneficial to our clients as we can provide a single point of contact and a consistent approach to regulations compliance.  Typical inconsistencies in respect of fire safety assessment may include structural fire protection and escape stair requirements.  Any inconsistencies encountered in the past could be resolved by using our approved inspector services.
